Andrew studied chiropractic in Melbourne from 1988 to 1992. He had a natural affinity for chiropractic after having been cared for by the family chiropractor as a youngster in Melbourne and then again as a teenager in Geelong. Chiropractic was a great benefit to his health and life and since 17 years of age he hasn't missed a maintenance spinal adjustment for any longer than a month at a time!
Andrew has been the principle chiropractor at his Tugun practice since 1994. He has cared for his community using highly specific, gentle adjusting skills to realign the body, restore its functional integrity, allowing the nature within to come out and helping to produce vitality and a healthy existence. He knows of no better way to increase the living potential of the human being, than to ensure functional integrity and stability, by the regular removal of physical interference to a natural state of health.
Andrew went on to specifically study clinical Functional Neurology for three years with The Carrick Institute out of the USA. Chiropractic has always been based on a model of neurology, specifically pertaining to the spinal cord and nerves branching from it. Functional Neurology takes this many steps further into brain physiology and the relationships of connected systems and regions and how to clinically improve functionality through a brain with compromised connections or integration. This is natural, non-invasive care, using the brain's own receptor systems and is not medical neurology.
Outside of practice Andrew enjoys time with family and friends. You'll catch him cruising in his classic Aussie Monaro or adventure riding on his Ducati. Also high on his loves, is camping in the wilderness with his fiancée Kelly and their three dogs.
